Ikea: e-Folder Set

This is a very cool app that you can download for your computer where they change your desktop to look like a clean and simple ikea shelves with all your files in boxes. I downloaded the program but couldn't get it to work. I wonder if anyone can use it? I think this app is straight to the point of what Ikea does. I really hope that they will let us choose our own cabinets and boxes :)

Purina: Dog Food Sync

I think this is a pretty cute ad that I found from Banner Blog. I like how the dog at the bottom beat the can on top to drop down.

Independent Film Sites

Here are four independent film sites I found. The first one is Babies, a documentary that follows a set of babies that was born across the world and how each of them grew up. Notice that even though the site is on Focus Features; they change the background colors and fonts to fit the theme of the movie. I think this is a very interesting path to take if your budget is low. The next movie is Cyrus which is featured in Fox. Although it has the Fox's logo; the site is created for Cyrus and I like the information they have like Facebook, twitter and news. The third one is Mao's Last Dancer where it has it's own site; simple in design and color with the video shown in the front page. Lastly is HappyThankYouMorePlease; my favorite among them all where they have the fonts and colors that represent the movie

Alzheimer Society of Montreal: Zero

Hello! I would like to share this cool online advertising that give a sense of what happen to people who caught alzheimers. I think it is very smart to play around with the iPhone memory and the fear of losing all your pictures, musics, or apps really get people attention. Overall; I think the campaign could be stronger...perhaps when you are typing; you realize certain words or your past message starting to get blurry? That would be a nice effect. Here is the online ad

Organic Inc- Interactive Advertising Agency

I like Organic Inc advertising agency in San Francisco where although they may not be big like Ogilvy or Goodby but the interactive advertising they do connects to a specific target audience. Many agencies out there try to get the bigger demographic but Organic is different. Take their Jeep campaign for instance where they sell Jeep’s new car through Jeep owner’s themselves. I mean who is better to talk about Jeep than the drivers who own the cars for years? Their Jeep campaign also shows that they are using other online interactive brand like MySpace, Facebook, Yahoo and Twitter to sell their own brand. They build a community of pictures in Jeep.com that shows the phenomenon of the Jeep experience. I think that is a brilliant way to go. I think it is important to sell the specs and feature of your brand but certain cars like Jeep; is better to sell the experience of driving the car itself.

Favorite Interactive

My most recent favorite interactive weren't exactly "ads". They were interactive extensions of Robyn's (a musical artist) songs. I feel that these interactive mini-sites were essentially promoting the respective single off Robyn's albums.

This first song is called "Dont fucking tell me what to do". In the song Robyn has a repeating lyric of "____ is killing me" the blank is filled with various things that are "killing" her. The video is a 3D video that can be watched with and without 3D glasses. The first part of the video shows Robyn's lyrics but halfway through it shows any twitter updates with the hashtag #killingme

I think the video made by Martin Scorsese for a champagne/wine commercial as a homage to Hitchcock is pretty amazing. Hitchcock's fans will definitely recognize some of the techniques or scenes from his movies that were used in making the commercial. We don't get to even know what the product is until the end. This video was originally aired in movie theaters which is pretty smart because those who goes to the movies will know what inspired the ad.

The Subservient Chicken

Hello, In my opinion; I think one of the best online interactive campaign is the Subservient Chicken from Burger King where users can type an action on the website the a guy in the chicken suit will do it. I know that it seems pretty lame but the content is addictive and the humor that Burger King plays behind this idea really set them apart from other competitors like Macdonald, Carl's Junior and Jack in the Box. What I really like about this campaign is that is simple and it promotes the main idea which says "Chicken the way you like it"

Future Lions is a Cannes student competition sponsored and founded by AKQA.

Each year the brief is the same. Create an experience for a worldwide brand utilizing technology that wasn't around more than 5 years ago in an engaging and clever way.

Last year students from AAU were finalists for the first time. Their idea made the cut to 20 finalists. 5 of those finalists were winners. So close...

2010 AAU FINALIST:

The next victory rests upon your creative and brilliant shoulders. Let's bring home a vinyl baby Lion from France once and for all.
